1. Who we are
PiecePilot is an independently operated online inventory service based in the United Kingdom. For data-protection enquiries, contact us using the email address above.
2. Information we collect
- Account details such as your name, email address and securely hashed password.
- Inventory and workspace information that you choose to enter or import.
- Subscription identifiers, plan status and limited billing information received from Stripe. PiecePilot does not store your full card number.
- Messages you send to support.
- Technical and security information such as IP address, browser information, request logs and authentication activity.
3. Why we use it
We use personal information to provide and secure PiecePilot, create and manage accounts, process subscriptions, send verification and password-reset emails, respond to support requests, prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.
4. Our legal bases
Depending on the activity, we process information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, because you have given consent, or because the law requires it.
5. Service providers
We use carefully selected providers to operate PiecePilot, including Cloudflare for application hosting and data infrastructure, Stripe for subscription payments and Resend for transactional email. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
7. Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal or accounting obligations. Account and inventory data is scheduled for deletion when you complete the in-app account deletion process, subject to information that must be retained by law or preserved for security and dispute purposes.
8. Your rights
UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to certain processing and receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

9. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information. No online system is completely risk-free, so you should use a strong, unique password and keep your own backups of important inventory data.
10. Children
PiecePilot is intended for users aged 18 or over and is not directed at children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
